Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Selma has truly changed the way I approach difficult moments in my life - she is a life-raft for me
Selma is the best listener I’ve ever encountered…I didn’t know how important it was, to have an unbiased person hear my thoughts and feelings. In its most basic form, that is what ‘therapy’ is…the ability to speak freely to a nonjudgmental person who knows how to listen and ask question that cause me to think introspectively. Selma is very good at that. I look forward to our sessions. It feels like I am going to have a relaxed conversation with an old friend. For reference, I’m on my 7th session, and would recommend Selma highly.
Selma is very wise and helpful.
She’s honestly amazing! Very good listener and validates my feelings and experiences. She is very kind! I love her personality!
She is amazing
After my conversations with Selma, I feel more prepared to take on the day.
Selma is really good at what she does. She listens to me and understands my issues. I am happy to be working with her.
I love her and she is a great person!
If you are looking for a therapist that is genuine and speaks with you from a very real and professional manner, Mrs. Selma I may be a great fit for you. We’ve only had 2 sessions so far and I feel very comfortable with her already. She’s given me tools and the confidence needed to address issues I struggle with and I appreciate her so much for this. I look forward to meeting with her regularly.
My experience with Selma Wesley changed my life for the better. She truly helped me and I am greatfull to her.
Selma never makes me feel like she’s on a time limit - she makes sure I feel better at the end of every call before we end our sessions.
I have only had two sessions with Selma so far, but so far she has been great! Very attentive and understanding of my problems. Both sessions have gone by very quickly.
Selma has been a very engaging and supportive therapist. I am grateful for her expertise and guidance.
Selma is kind, warm, and never makes me feel like she is in a rush for time.
Selma is amazing warm and so kind and so easy to talk to about anything. I and I love her!
I came to Better Help and Selma in crisis due to my spouse's gender transition. I was afraid that I wouldn't be attracted to my spouse and my marriage wouldn't survive. Though transgender relationships were not an area of expertise for Selma, she was accepting and asked lots of questions to understand. She did research for both of us. Selma helped me figure out what is important to me in my relationship and kept me connected to a spirit of exploration and learning. She encouraged me to document my experience after we found that so few resources exist for spouses of transgender people. When talking with Selma, I felt comforted and listened to. I felt like I was talking with my Mom, but without the baggage. She got to the heart of what is important and didn't let me get drawn into distractions. I ended therapy feeling at peace and ready to continue transitioning as a couple. I'm grateful for Selma's support!
Amazing, you will get better help and become a confidence person
Selma is extremely attentive and honest, and I've really enjoyed working with her.
The shoulder I needed. Great feedback. Great experience so far.
Selma always checks in with me and encourages me to feel my feelings in a caring and inquisitive way.
Selma is great! And very comfortable to talk to. She has helped me view things from a different perspective and I liked that!
Selma is such a supportive, caring, and down-to-earth therapist. She really listens to my concerns and helps me to identify certain behaviours and problem areas. I always feel so much better after speaking with her, and feel as if I've gained new knowledge and insight. She gives me worksheets and homework/assignments - which I appreciate - but allows me to move at whatever pace I'm comfortable with, and doesn't make me feel stressed or pressured about completing the assignments. She provides great resources, is available when I need her, and I never have trouble scheduling a session with her. Selma has been a great help so far, and I'm looking forward to my continued work with her.
I have only done a few sessions so far but a wonderful lady with great insight! Has already helped me to identify several things I need to work on, and is very hands-on. She also provided me with breathing exercises and homework, which I really appreciate. You can tell she really cares and I recommend her strongly!
