I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field. Over the years I have worked in many different settings ranging from Community Mental Health centers to private practice. I have worked with a wide variety of client populations and issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, codependency, addictions, abuse/trauma, anger management, stress management and many others. I am trained in best practice models including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Wellness Management and Recovery to name a few. However, no matter how well trained and experienced I am, it means nothing if I am unable to empathically connect with my clients. This begins by recognizing and honoring the courage it takes to enter therapy and "bare your soul" to a complete stranger. I am naturally empathic and genuinely interested in others which I use to foster an environment in which my clients feel safe, understood and accepted. As a therapist I adhere to certain guiding principles such as the following: Each client is doing the best they know how. The problem is not that there is something wrong with them - it is that they simply are not aware of more effective ways to navigate life's issues or they lack the skills needed to do so; What is effective for one person, is not necessarily effective for another; Each person's solution lies within them and it is my responsibility to help them find it; and none of us received a "How to live life" handbook - Life is hard and messy and this means that none of us have all the answers including me! And so I view therapy in many ways as a collaborative process in which we work together to find the best ways forward. I don't see myself so much as an "expert", but rather as a guide imbued with knowledge and skills that can help a client find their own path to healing, health and recovery.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Sarah Roe, thank you for providing your expertise helping me navigating healing from trauma and dealing with tough emotion and stress. I really appreciate being able to connect with you through the app. Thank you!
Sarah is wonderful. She listens, asks thought provoking questions and provides resources that allow self exploration or that may be needed. Very knowledgeable on a variety of topics and responsive.
Sarah has been very helpful in helping me to identify and work through issues. Her knowledge is very insightful and helpful. She is great at listening and giving constructive feedback. I would like to say that Sarah saved me, but I know that she really helped me to learn how to save myself.
I feel i have learned a lot and grown as an individually showing up to sessions with Sarah every week. I highly recommend her. She has a way of making you feel safe to open up and learn new tools along the way.
Sarah is the most understanding and educated therapist I have worked with. I look forward to talking through things with her without judgment and maintaining accountability and introspection.
She's such a kind soul and she actually listens to me. I don't feel like I'm being analyzed, I feel like I'm talking to someone who genuinely cares about my situation. Sometimes having someone just actively listen to me is therapy enough, but she offers so much more than that. I'd recommend her to anyone.
With Sarah’s help, Im able to identify the specific areas where I need to focus in order to positively change my unhealthy behaviors.
This experience has surpassed my expectations. I was not sure it would help but I knew I needed to get help. I was pleasantly surprised that I immediately felt comfortable with Sarah and she had some great advice and challenged my misconceptions. I have already recommended Better help because I have had a positive experience and I am glad I took a chance on it.
Sarah is wonderful and a great listener. I would recommend her to any of my friends or relatives.
Sarah was very comfortable to talk to and very intuitive to my struggles. She almost knew what i was going to say. She helped me talk through some deep issues and she assisted me in working through them.

Sarah listens to my concerns and regularly challenges my negative thinking. She's been helpful in discovering the underlying causes for a lot of my negative habits and behaviors.
Sarah has helped me to understand and navigate my various traumas in a way that’s respectful and powerful. She empowers me to take control and offers clear solutions in helping myself. She’s been incredible and I value her tremendously.
Sarah Roe is understanding, a great listener, and someone i truly look forward to learning from every week. I’ve been seeing sarah about my mental health for over a month now and I feel I have gone through some major mile stones and realizations through her therapy. I’ve seen other therapists in the past for years, and in less than a month she has helped me move past situations and try new things. Would highly recommend!
I haven't been working with her long but she seems to be recognizing points of interest and is helping to guide me into areas of focus. I feel she will be a huge benefit in steering my life into a more positive future.
Sarah is a very perceptive and thorough therapist. I like how she draws connections and sees trends in our conversations. She's given me lots to think about and recognized areas to bring peace to my life that I didn't recognize myself.
Sarah definitely understands relationship issues and tells you the things that are hard to hear but need to be heard. I appreciate the honesty and bluntness
Sarah is a wonderful therapist - not only is she a great listener but she gives you the context to really understand the "why" behind your emotions. Sarah pushes you to reflect and dig to get at the root of your issue and/or concern without judgement or fear. Couldn't recommend Sarah enough!
Sarah has been very helpful in providing me with communication tools.
Sarah is one of the best therapists I have had, and I've tried many. She is always on time, and really knows how to get to the root of the problem as well as catering a solution to the individual.
If you need a therapist choose Sarah. She’s a wise one.
