I am dually certified as a mental health (LPC) and substance abuse counselor (SAC) and have been working in the field for six years. I began working in inpatient treatment working with addiction and mental health with adults over the age of 18. I am currently working in a methadone clinic with individuals suffering from opiate addictions and even though we do not specialize in addiction I am given those who have been diagnosed with mental health issues as well. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, and ADHD. I have also helped those who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm and interactive, I believe in treating everyone with utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach to treatment combines mindfulness, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, person centered, and solution focused therapies. I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific and unique needs.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Darlene is awesome. She listens cares and just helps me sort out my issues. She has helped me a lot
Darlene was an excellent listener and skilled as a compassionate therapist. I would recommend her for anyone seeking professional therapy. She helped me manage anxiety and to focus on what I'm grateful for. Thank you so much!
Darlene is a phenomenal therapist. She understands me, validates me when I’m right and tells me when I’m wrong. She’s an expert in so many areas and is REAL Pearson with her own real problems, which makes her so relatable and trustworthy. I’ve been seeing her for over a year which has resulted in the best of days (short sessions) and my worst of days (sessions that have run much longer than planned), and she has always left me feeling better than I did prior to our call, and she has never once cut our session short, she truly cares! If you are looking for someone that specializes in family and addiction, choose Darlene, you won’t be disappointed.
Darlene has been wonderful over the past year. She is very knowledgeable and bluntly cuts through issues, while simultaneously being compassionate and encouraging ! Highly recommended!
Wonderfully empathetic therapist who doesn't sugarcoat anything! If you want to grow, choose Darlene!
Darlene is incredibly good at listening and understanding what I’m really trying to say, sometimes better than I understand myself. She has great intuition and truly wants to help.
I’d recommend Darleen to anyone she is caring and listens and gives great advise and programs to help you heal and move forward. I love having her as my therapist as I heal from the most devastating 2 years of my life
Darlene is so kind and understanding. You never feel judged and she explains so well that your fears don’t have to be your reality.
Validating, but challenging. As someone who tends to be information driven and, therefore, a bit of a know-it-all, the awareness of my issues is often the end of them in my mind. These cognitive blindspots have been challenged, and done so tactfully. I know awareness precedes control, but I need to be reminded that it's really the beginning.
Darlene is a ife-chsnger for the better! She is very honest, direct, and empathetic. She is very skilled at dealing with complicated trauma.
Warm, understanding, and a joy to talk to. Darlene offers me the chance to speak freely about my concerns, and gives tangible assignments to do in the interim between sessions, which has helped me a lot! Of the therapists I've spoken with on this platform, she has been by far the best.
This is one of the first times I actually want to be honest and feel like I'm gaining something from therapy.
We just started therapy and I really feel like Darlene listens to me and have gone through some similar things in our lives. She replys quickly and gives me homework/ papers to read to help me, I am very grateful that I connected with her.
Darlene cares so much, and works hard to help me with problems that don’t have easy answers. She’s always willing to spend the time to make sure I’m ok

Darlene has been such a wonderful therapist to me. We can laugh and I can cry in one session, but I always leave feeling better. Over the past weeks I’ve already seen vast improvement and Darlene gives me the tools I need to overcome the challenges I face.
