Dr B was the first therapist to ever truly listen to me instead of writing me off because I’m so well spoken. I have full confidence in his clinical abilities and appreciate how much he seems to care about his patients as humans rather than just subjects. Highly recommend.

More about John

  • 15 years' experience
  • Male
  • Psychologist

Hello, thank you for taking your time to read my profile. I am clinical health psychologist with over 15 years of experience in treating people of diverse backgrounds in hospital, academic medicine, community healthcare, and outpatient settings. Together we have addressed their depression, anxiety, ADHD, panic attacks, stress management, substance use, grief, and bipolar disorder to name a few.

I believe a collaborative therapeutic relationship is the most important element in psychotherapy. Without this there is poor communication, mistrust, and progress is unable to be achieved. This frustrates the individual causing them to stop therapy either briefly or all together because they feel no one can help, which is not beneficial. I feel very comfortable treating most psychiatric conditions but I am not afraid to tell you when I do not have the experience to meet your needs. My treatment style is an integrated model from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness based, and motivational interviewing therapies.

I wish you well in your journey improving you mental well-being.
