After “curing” most of Washington DC except Congress, I moved to Fort Myers, Florida. With 24 years of private practice experience I still love this work. I’m an author and provide T.V. interviews upon request. Humor is an essential part of my life and my practice. Humor is integral in grieving, healing, recovery and problem solving. Therefore it is incorporated into my treatment. There are a myriad of issues for which you may be seeking help. Often they involve problematic relationships or relationships with self. To self many of us are unforgiving and punishing. This is common and treatable.
One of the great hurdles to starting treatment is the belief that this pain will not end and cannot be problem solved or that you do not deserve to feel better. Both beliefs are false.
Whether you have difficulty accepting self, have marital or partner problems, parental discord, anxiety about life and work, you will find rewarding dividends for life in this work. I am compassionate and persistent. I am a strong proponent of improving mental health treatment.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Just Awesome!!!!!
Maggie has been such a difference maker in my life. I feel like she hears me, but is honest and tells me what I need to hear in return, not what I want to hear. I appreciate her humor and personal touches that she brings to our sessions - she was the perfect fit for me.
