Hello ,I have worked in outpatient settings, in hospitals, on disaster teams, in home-based programs, and overseas for military members and their families. Deborah’s client-centered perspective utilizes tools of motivational interviewing, systems theory, developmental theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma focused, cognitive behavioral therapy. I holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Akron and obtained my master’s degree in community counseling from Malone University. Also, I earned a master’s degree in philosophy and am completing her doctorate at Walden University. Recently completed her dissertation research on post-traumatic growth and military members. I work with youth, families, individuals, and groups with mental health disorders and addiction disorders. My hope and goal is to help you move forward in your life in a meaningful and healthy way. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Overall rating:
Deborah has been great at allowing me to express my needs and concerns and allow me to work through things independently while guiding and offering suggestions
Extremely helpful
Having worked with Deborah for several months now, I can confidently say that I am in a MUCH better headspace than I was when we first began. If I did not feel that I was getting value and help, I would not have continued with therapy. It also needs to be said that BetterHelp also needs credit for matching me to Deborah in the first place!
