Hello. I am Sally Sierra, LCSW, from Florida. I have a master’s degree from St. Leo University and a BSW from USF. I lived many years in Puerto Rico where I learned to speak Spanish and understand the culture.

I have been a therapist for 7 years working with adults, children and families, adolescents, and the aging. My experience includes depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, attachment disorder, ADHD/ADD, adjustment disorder, relationships and family conflicts.

My approach to therapy is client centered which helps to create a strong client-therapist relationship. My intention is to build a strong therapeutic relationship, and promote a safe atmosphere in which my clients experience acceptance and openness, without judgement. In this way, we can better work together to develop psychological tools for complicated feelings and situations.

I use integrated therapy blending elements from different approaches to meet different needs. These include Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Solution Focused therapy, talk therapy, psychoeducation, art and art based activities, Bibliotherapy, and others.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
