More about Renee

I enjoy working with individuals of all ages experiencing challenges with mood, depression, and anxiety. I have a particular interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, micro-traumas, aging, grief and loss, and depression. I typically use the person-centered approach. I have also used CBT, mindfulness, art, and play therapy techniques. I have training in Sand Tray, Nutritional and Integrated Therapies and tapping techniques. I have a Master of Art degree in Community Counseling and a Master of Philosophy in Health Psychology. I have held my independent license in NM since 2011 and have experience counseling adults with mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and life stress issues. I am a disabled veteran. I love various forms of art. I also have a love to learn whether it is about a rare disability or a therapeutic technique. I like to align my research and education with the population that I am counseling, so I can adapt my clinical techniques to fit the current population I support.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
