Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Betsy helped me and my wife manage a very toxic inter-family relationship with one of my parents. She provided great insights that opened our eyes to see what's happening, why it's happening, and how to respond/cope with it. We feel very empowered to have minimized such a stressful relationship from our life, and finally focus on our mental health and wellness. Highly recommended. She's a great listener, has deep compassion, and is an excellent advisor and coach. Thank you, Betsy! ♥

The few sessions I have had with Betsy were supportive and encouraging. She made me feel very comfortable communicating online (new to me!) and I felt that I could easily share with her. She provided a safe and open space for me to fully share the challenges I am working on. I genuinely appreciated her observant, non-judgemental nature.

Reviewed July 2022

I have only been working with her for a short while, and I don't do a great job with making time but I know if I get stuck she is right there. It's comforting. My spouse just had a scary swing, and his traditional therapist wasn't available for more than 24 hours. I appreciate the feeling of safety and priority. He's switching his provider!
