Hello, I'm Liz! I'm a licensed LSCSW in Kansas City with 10 years of professional experience. I graduated from K-State with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology in 2013 and my Masters from KU in Clinical Social Work in 2016. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and body image, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, relationships, boundaries, improving communication and everyday stressors. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet your needs and go at your own pace. I'm a strong believer in the client having autonomy while in therapy; we will always start with your goals and I will meet you where you're at. I am here to be a support in whatever your journey may be.
A little bit about myself:
I have a cat and French bulldog who might occasionally pop theirs faces into session to say hello. I enjoy going with the flow and being laid back. My ideal weekend would be hiking in the Rocky Mountains.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is a big one, so congratulations! I would love to work with you if you feel I'd be a good fit. Even if you just want to meet to see if we click- finding the right therapist is really important. Welcome to Better Help and I hope to talk to you soon.
Modalities I use are CBT, EMDR, SFBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Liz has been exactly the patient, empathetic, kind voice I have needed while I'm processing and working towards a better version of my life and myself. Her approach is gentle while also being challenging - which is exactly what I needed.
Liz is an absolutely phenomenal person, and a very professional therapist. I've been working with her these past few months and I could not have picked a better one if I tried, she completely understands my issues and helps me connect a lot of dots that I never was able to before. I'm not completely done with therapy at this point (nor do I know if/when I will be) but for as long as I am able, Liz will always be my therapist.
She has made this process easy and productive.
Liz is a very good listener, and always offers me some actionable advice during each of our sessions.
Liz Gray brings both professionalism and a personal touch to her therapy sessions. She works with clients on their timelines and offers constructive tools or suggestions to assist the client in finding their own path out of problematic situations. I can highly recommend Liz as a remote therapist on the betterhelp site.
Liz is thorough, thoughtful, and a great listener. She helped me in the way that worked best for me personally and I truly appreciate that.

Liz is wonderful! Such a great listener and genuinely cares.
Working with Liz has made such a difference in my life. She is a compassionate, knowledgeable and highly skilled therapist. In a short amount of time, she helped me work through childhood trauma with powerful techniques, leaving me feeling, empowered, confident, and resilient. I am deeply grateful and I highly recommend her
Liz Gray is very professional and warm in her therapy sessions. She takes time to understand the client's background and situation, then begins to help the client establish potential paths to better help themselves. I have never had therapy before and previously questioned how it would help. However, Liz Gray has been a positive influence during a tricky time in my life, and she has given me greater insight into my feelings and behaviours.
Liz is very considerate, respectful, helpful, and consistent. I appreciate the ways she has helped me better myself.
She did well and gave me great advice
When I met Liz, I was in a very dark place mentally. I was isolated and lonely and having a lot of negative thoughts regarding my value, my appearance and capabilities. During our sessions together, Liz has helped me process and challenge these thoughts. I am in a much better head space today thanks to Liz helping guide me and teach me new methods for coping with stress. She made me think in ways I would not have on my own which really helped me process emotions and thoughts, navigate situations that I was worried about and manage the anxiety I was experiencing. I am really grateful to her and am so glad I signed up for help. Thanks Liz.
Wonderful to talk with an very helpful
Liz has been fabulous. She's a wonderful listener and really takes her time to process what you're saying and respond with helpful and thoughtful suggestions. And she had a wide range of help for me- from dealing with a suicidal family member to normal work stress. This was my first time with therapy and I know if I need to come back to get more help, I will definitely be reaching out to her.
Great listener very professional very pleasant time spent in session
She is very helpful.
Liz is just simply amazing. You can tell she has genuine passion and knowledge about her career. Every session I have with her is great. She listens to everything I say and validates my feelings while also giving me tools to work through my problems. Her delivery is excellent- caring, neutral, and supportive. She is also graciously flexible with scheduling which I appreciate so much. If you had bad experiences with therapists in the past, she is the right one for you.
She seems like someone who genuinely cares
Liz is an active listener. She is very calm and even keel. She is compassionate and understanding. I love the little phrases she gives that can be reminders for later on when I feel overwhelmed or anxious. Her responses and advice are not reactive, she considers her words carefully. I would recommend her to anyone!
Dude… Liz is awesome. I can’t express enough how grateful I am that we were able to connect! I recently heard from a colleague of mine that he had a horrible BetterHelp experience and I could NOT relate at all. Liz is in my area, so I don’t need to explain that much which is helpful. She just gets it. I am in the social work field and I genuinely feel like she understands the issues that I bring up and want to piece apart. She is great at offering alternatives to my methods of thinking that I haven’t considered, and offers nuances that are gentle yet transformative. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
She's extremely kind and caring. I'm glad I found her on betterhelp.
Amazing. Literally didn’t think I’d come on here and find a person who talks with me and get deep into why I feel certain things and open me up to different way and she did it. All I can say is amazing.
Liz has helped me through one of the darkest periods of my life, and I am nothing but thankful for my experience with her. She has given me tools to help combat the negative symptoms I experience from my trauma, is a fantastic listener, and does a good job of directing the session if you are having trouble knowing what to talk about/bring up
Incredibly supportive. She's helped me immensely and continues to support me with my mental well being.
Liz has been a great listener, and has helped me recognize issues and provided tools to help me address those issues. It’s been great talking to her.

Liz is very understanding and supportive. She actively listens during each session and does an amazing job of pointing out key issues to work through.
