For more than a year, Chris has been my therapist. His approach has already helped me recognise presumptions and irrational expectations I had for my life and how to deal with them. I would suggest Chris to anyone who wants to understand their behaviour patterns and work on improving the rough edges.

More about Chris

  • 5 years' experience

  • BACP

I am a therapist with 5 years of experience ( consisting of more than 3000 sessions), during which I have shaped my practice to adapt based on the need of the individual client.

To me, psychotherapy is very much a team effort and as such my role is to walk besides you as we explore whatever might be happening for you together. I have a wealth of experience in multiple different areas ranging from anxiety, bereavement, trauma, illness, ADHD, to even things such as supporting carers of terminal illness. I will always do my best to help regardless of the issue at hand.

I have a master's degree in Emotion Focused Therapy to underpin this experience and ensure that my clients receive the best evidence-based practice possible. Please read some of my reviews at the bottom of this page to show how effective it can be.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe very much in the client controlling the tempo as we work through whatever issues the client may want to address. I am very open minded and as such there will be absolutely no judgement, my only role is to support as best as I can. I work in a very person-centred way although I have amalgamated aspects of solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, person centred therapy and others to help ensure my practice is able to support clients in a variety of ways.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

His empathetic approach and flexible methods create a supportive environment where I feel heard and understood. Chris tailors his techniques to fit my needs, using various therapeutic methods that really work for me. Chris is an absolute legend, when it comes to the world of therapists! He has been my therapist for nearly a year. He has been extremely supportive and influential in my life. I started therapy with Chris as a result of a loss of a family member, and the progress I've made in understanding myself and my emotions have been invaluable. Most importantly, Chris was the first and only person who noticed that I showed symptoms of ADHD, which I've been struggling with for 3 decades without knowing it. As a result, I made a visit to a psychiatrist and got officially diagnosed and have been receiving treatment for the past 2 months, which on its own has been life changing. Chris has always been responsive, caring and supportive. I'm eternally grateful for his help and support, and this testimonial is the least I can do to thank him.

I have only just started with Chris but his session was very supportive, we looked into some concerns and potential issues which highlighted feelings I could connect to and understand. His support in messaging out of session has been very supportive in his response. I highly recommend Chris and his services.

Chris is a wonderful therapist! I’ve never met someone as kind as he is and someone that understands and listens, during sessions or when we speak there’s no pressure like in traditional therapy where you feel like you’re an alien, I would definitely recommend Chris

Chris has been really helpful for helping me tackle the ongoing problems in my life

Reviewed July 2022

Let me preface this with Chris is not my first therapist, I've had a couple over the years. In a time of transition and emotional distress, Chris has been not just an ear that listens but also a constant questioner. Chrises ability to turn my often multi-laned and somewhat incoherent way of communicating my emotions into relevant questions that I need to ask myself to change the way that I look at the world and improve myself has been nothing short of fantastic (I'm using this word correctly). I would recommend Chris to anyone struggling with persistent grief, sense of loss, loneliness, lack of focus or general sadness or depression (these are my struggles, I'm sure he's just as good at the rest). 10/10, would get therapy from Chris again.

Reviewed June 2022

Chris has been very helpful and supportive in my mental health journey.

Reviewed May 2022

Chris is an excellent listener. His approach is calm and I feel understood and respected when I engage with him. I've found the dynamic to be one that very much encourages self discovery through conversation and Chris helps organise and facilitate my thoughts and vocal inputs in a helpful and resourceful manner.

Reviewed May 2022

Very understanding and flexible in his approach, always double checking and asking the right questions. Only few sessions in, but I can already tell this as a long-term partnership. Highly recommend!
