You might be reading this because you're not feeling yourself lately, or maybe you feel sad or anxious. Maybe you know why or perhaps you don't.
If you're looking for a safe place to explore what is going on, and unravel those tangled weaves, then you've come to the right place. I'm here to support you on your journey.
I work as an integrative counsellor which means that I will work with you collaboratively. I believe that there isn't one approach that will fit everyone. We are all unique and I will try and tailor it to your needs and circumstances. I am passionate about providing a safe, judgement free environment where you can explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
In sessions with me I will look to understand what is troubling you as well as you as a whole person. I will work to put myself in your shoes and see the world from your point of view. In initial sessions we can explore what your current issue and over time, when you are comfortable, look into the deeper elements. I will not tell you what to do, but be there to listen, and support you to find your own solutions or come to acceptance to enable you to move forward.
I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I've worked with Mellissa to help me get ready with returning to work following a mental health crisis and it has been extremely helpful.
I only had a handful of sessions with Melissa, but so far very happy. I feel comfortable to talk about my issues with her. She has already suggested a few tips and approaches, which is important to me as I feel that I am not only talking about my issues but also taking action to resolve them.
