I have found after a few sessions, wether I think I am processing issues or not, I come away and generally feel better. That isn’t what I expected, but I have to say it works!

I am a conscientious and passionate counsellor with a BA Hons degree in Person Centred Counselling. I have experienced sitting in group counselling settings, skills sessions as well as one to one counselling.

I work by building a trusting relationship with my clients and allowing them to lead the session, offering a non judgmental and confidential space to explore any issues.

I understand the importance of safeguarding as I have worked with various different vulnerable people, such as the elderly, children and special needs. I regularly reflect upon myself and my work using self care and supervision, and keep my professional development updated.

I have counselled a variety of clients including living with, anxiety, grief, family issues, previous abuse, pregnancy losses, still birth and substance abuse just to name a few.

I regularly attend supervision to ensure I keep myself and my clients safe, and attend training courses to enhance my learning and knowledge for my professional development.

I am currently working part time as a college lecturer teaching Person Centred Counselling. And undertaking a Masters in Psychology.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
