Hello, I'm Niamh!

I've been a counsellor and psychotherapist for 8 years and I've worked successfully with lots of people to help them understand and overcome their difficulties.

I have a special interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and ADHD.

I'm a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist and this means that I think people can be helped using a range of therapeutic approaches.

I'll work with you to help you decide what approach we should take to help you start feeling better.

❗️Are you struggling with any of the issues below?

1. Are you feeling low in mood and lacking motivation?

2. Do you find it difficult to fall asleep at night because your mind is racing?

3. Do you wake up feeling tired and stressed before your day even begins?

4. Are the demands of your work and home life becoming too much to manage?

5. Are you finding it hard to focus and concentrate at work?

6. Do you find yourself stuck in a cycle of overthinking?

7. Do you compare yourself negatively to others and feel that no matter what you do, you are just not good enough?

8. Do you have unresolved past trauma which is impacting your wellbeing and your ability to lead a fulfilling, contented life?

If you answered yes to any or even all of these questions, I'm here to help you:

*Build self-esteem and confidence

*Manage work stress

*Manage anxiety and depression

*Silence the inner critic

*Understand the past

*Process past trauma

*Improve your relationships

*Manage your ADHD symptoms

People are often nervous about starting therapy, this is completely normal and I promise to make every effort to help you feel relaxed in our sessions.

Please send me a message to let me know how I can help you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Niamh is an amazing therapist. I have just started my journey to getting better and coping with trauma and my issues, but she has been so helpful so far. Really recommend Niamh, she is incredibly professional, listens well and is great overall.

Aug 2023

I found Niamh to be really understanding and a very good listener. She helped me understand things I didn’t see previously and helped me deal with things in a practical manner but also allowed me the space to think about my past and why my behaviour or thoughts transpired in the way that they did. She also really helped me understand my ADHD better and how it affects my life in a multifaceted way that I never saw before. Thank you Niamh.

May 2023

Niamh is really calm, direct and compassionate. I really appreciate the boundaries she draws but the empathy she shows - it makes it possible to discuss anything, no matter how small or embarrassing it might seem, in a sincere and constructive way.

Excellent

Niamh is a skilled, caring therapist. She is able to take the tangled threads of one's past and help you to weave them into a coherent narrative about the present. She has an excellent memory for details and is able to tie together unlikely strands to help make connections and help people draw their own conclusions about their lives and the best next steps for themselves.

Solid, consistent, powerful. Niamh and I have worked together weekly for 6 months. I am a creative entrepreneur, 51 and unmarried. Our work was focused on my relationships, my self worth + the importance of prioritising my needs, without guilt or shame. Together, thanks to an expert balance between experience, professionalism, directness and empathy, I experienced a series of powerful realisations that will help me to transform mindsets from believing that I am a 'victim' of my past to realising that I am the 'creator' of my future. I cannot not recommend Niamh more highly.

I had only a few months of therapy with Niamh, but I feel like a brand new person. I was able to overcome my fears, and process my trauma/emotions from the past and now I am able to live in the moment with joy again. Now I am conscious of my feelings, and reactions. I feel that I am in control, which feels very empowering. She is a brilliant professional and I highly recommend working with her. Her understanding and friendly guidance throughout the sessions are extremely helpful. I consider myself very lucky that I found her on this platform.

I.B.·May 2022

Niamh is an amazing therapist, I have been working with her for just over a month and have already had amazing lightbulb moments through her brilliant questions. I’m really excited to continue working with her. Cannot recommend enough!

L.O.·Apr 2022

Niamh is the best therapist I’ve had yet. She understands, listens and poses the right questions. At no point have I felt judged and her experience and expertise shines through. As someone with PTSD- I’ve had my fair share of therapists and I’m very happy to have found her.
