Barbara is gentle and attentive. For someone who has issues with validation, she listens and validates my feelings without being patronising and overstepping the boundaries in dismissing people that are close to me but are the cause of my issues.

I am a fully qualified and accredited therapist working with individual adults and Couples/Other relationships. I have worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, loss and disenfranchised grief, family issues, couples' problems, and life transitions. I support clients suffering from domestic abuse and coercive control. I offer open-ended therapy and short-term counselling in either English or Polish.

I offer a non-judgemental, safe, and empathetic space where clients can freely explore their emotional struggles and problems in life. I strongly believe in diversity and provide multicultural support advocating dignity and value for all. I welcome individuals from all protected characteristics and ensure their needs are adequately appreciated whilst providing my service. As an integrative therapist, I tailor my work to suit my clients' unique individual needs, drawing from various theoretical orientations. A trusting therapist-client relationship is a crucial part of therapeutic change. I integrate psychodynamic (including attachment theory), person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, Acceptance and Commitment, and family/systemic therapy in my work.

Reaching out to therapy when things fall apart is a brave step. I would be privileged to share your journey and support you in discovering your true authentic self.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
