I am a Person-Centred and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist with a degree in Humanistic Counselling Practice and my post grad in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). I have 8 years of working with people experiencing, but not limited to, depression, low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, attachment and relational issues, trauma, grief and loss.

At the heart of my practice is the emphasis on building a warm, safe and empathic therapeutic relationship based on acceptance and trust within a non judgemental and nurturing environment. I offer a safe space for you to explore your emotions to what is happening, or what has happened in your life and how this is affecting you in the present. I believe you are the expert of you and have all the capabilities to find your own way through your problems with my support, to build confidence within and facilitate personal growth.

Life can be challenging and overwhelming at times, and sometimes we might need time to work through any issues that arise. We can work together to gain understanding, new perspectives and awareness, exploring to create healthier ways of coping with life, enhancing wellbeing and relationships. I feel very passionately about supporting and empowering you to come to your own conclusions and make any decisions or changes that feel right for you.

DIT is a 16 weekly session psychodynamic therapy developed specifically to treat depression. It identifies a pattern in your life created from difficult experiences in the past which can continue to affect the way we have and how we feel in the here and now. DIT provides a safe space for open exploration, talking about how you feel, how you see yourself in relation to others and how you see others, to gain understanding of what may be contributing to depression to allow for a better understanding of yourself. We can then look at making changes in how you may respond.

Please feel free to get in touch to find out more. We can discuss your concerns, any goals and how we might work together to address these.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
