What I appreciate the most is the safe space and a listening ear that allow me to just express myself because sometimes we don't always look for a fix but just somebody who can listen and I may not be right all the time but it's good to have somebody who would call my attention and guide me. I believe I have quite a journey with Jacqui, and I look forward to overcoming my personal long-term and day to day struggles with her guidance.

I understand how daunting it can feel, taking that initial step in reaching out for support.  We know that life can be challenging, stress and anxiety are very much a part of life, especially in this current climate of uncertainty.  It takes courage to reach out for help, allow me to help you, as it is exactly what I am trained and experienced in doing. Let me first begin by introducing myself to you.

My name is Jacqueline John aka Jacqui and I am based in London England, working remotely and Internationally under UK law guidelines.

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist Counsellor who has over 35 years’ experience of providing helping services to individuals, couples, families, young people and the bereaved. I am a counselling member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and I work within the ethical framework, and abide by the code of good practice. Client feedback described me as warm, accepting, non-judgmental, insightful and usefully challenging.

As an integrative counsellor, I will use the style of counselling which is best suited to your individual need, by exploring present issues and past experiences. These styles can vary between Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Existentialism, and the Psychodynamic approach, within a Person Centred framework.

I run my own private practice and provide counselling services for external organisations and charities, working with individuals of differing genders, sexual orientations, faiths and cultures.

I offer short term and long term contracts which we can discuss along with your hopes or expectations of counselling during our initial session.

Please note that I am not available on Saturday, Sundays, and Bank Holidays, however, I shall always endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 24hrs.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Wonderful therapist, really helped me identify multiple unhealthy patterns in my behavior

Reviewed February 2023

I want to say that Jacqui has been such a fantastic therapist on my journey through Better Help. It's been a blessing to be matched with her. She has been intentional with the structure of how we have walked through each week. First, her helping me to understand the root cause of some of the issues I'd experienced all the way to me now being able to confidently face some of the mental challenges I'd been dealing with for years. I always walked out of the therapy sessions feelings extremely empowered and had the tools and resources to do the work I needed in order to get better. Jacqui has a wealth of experience which is obviously evident in the sessions and I would highly recommend her if you are struggling with things like anxiety, low self-esteem, etc like I was. I would like to say a massive thank you to her for helping me through this journey :)

Jacqui has helped me tremendously in altering my outlook on life by equipping me with the right tools to face whatever comes my way. I absolutely recommend Jacqui to all, especially those considering therapy for the first time! She kindly and patiently guided me through the entire process, facilitating a space wherein I felt safe to speak up and openly share my thoughts. She put herself in my shoes, listened attentively and, from there, provided feedback and ideas that were non-judgmental and intended for positive change. I have always looked forward to each session with Jacqui, as I have left each one feeling uplifted, motivated and inspired. She helped me navigate and overcome various struggles, such as abandoning destructive thought patterns by acknowledging where they come from, reframing my past experiences and asking myself questions that I didn’t before. I see a real change in myself due to therapy with Jacqui and, unlike before, I now feel more confident and capable of doing all. Thank you Jacqui!

I’ve been talking with Jacqui for a couple of months now. At the beginning I wasn’t truly understanding how it will be helpful for me but gradually I realised Jacqui has gotten pieces together and shown me what I can look at for myself. I thought that was extremely helpful for me and I almost felt that I’m just started to realise myself now. I really appreciate Jacqui’s expertise and a supportive, attentive listener. I’m impressed about the effects of my therapy sessions with her. Thanks a lot! Jacqui:)
