Emma was an amazing therapist and I grew so much during our time together. She really does care. Sadly I had some unforseen financial circumstances occur and had to end my sessions abruptly but I would advise anyone to spend time with Emma.

Emma is actually the first therapist assigned to me. I was sure I would end up changing before I met her. Just didn’t think I would gel with the first one. The thing that has set me is that she truly has given me a personal approach. A lot of people just give talk therapy. But there are genuinely skills I don’t have that I needed some guidance on that have truly changed my day to day life. She has been able to target my biggest lifestyle issues and help over come them and actually that’s made everything else easier for me. A lot of my chaos was truly external. Her treating me as an individual has helped me take control of the chaos in my mind & my day to day life. I’m deffo not ready to be without my weekly sessions yet, but can see one day I will be! Xxx

More about Emma

  • 4 years' experience
  • Female
  • BACP, NCPS

I am a qualified Psychotherapist who is passionate about talking therapies and how they can help so many mild to moderate mental health concerns. I believe in looking at the past in an analytical style whilst talking about the present to unlock the reasons for certain beliefs , fears and behaviours.

I am a strongly empathic listener and very person centered. I have worked with clients who have had a wide range of concerns including stress, anxiety, parenting problems, physical and emotional trauma and abuse. I am psychodynamically trained which enables me to use a variety of tools in the counselling room often using the Pluralistic approach taking therapy as a journey with goals , tasks and methods along the way.

I would love to work with you and look forward to hearing from you. Don’t worry if there is not a suitable time on my schedule, I try to be extremely flexible and work around my clients , I am therefore very happy to adapt my working schedule to suit

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
