Hi my name is Lynfa but you can call me Lyn if you would prefer.
I am very open-minded, practical woman and have spent a life time helping others. I am very easy to talk to and have had many life experiences which I can use to empathise with you. .
My previous background is the law, having worked for international law firms in London and Essex for 20 years and am based in the UK..
I am qualified in psychotherapeutic counselling and hypnotherapy, and use an integrative approach to counselling, which means that rather than using just one specific type of counselling i.e. Person Centred Counselling, etc. I like to use a wide range of therapies to help the client with their individual needs as they progress through their sessions.
I am also a qualified psychosexual therapist which covers all aspects of sexual health as well as dealing with subjects such as abusive relationships, extra-marital affairs, physical and emotional problems affecting couples such as frigidity and premature ejaculation, commitment, trust, communication and compromise. I offer this therapy to individual and/or couples.
At the start of the pandemic, I offered my services as a volunteer mental health practitioner to Project5; an organisation specifically set up to offer mental health support to NHS workers and those working in care homes.

Having counselling with Lyn was a very positive experience for me. I found her to be caring and supportive. She gave me a safe space where I was able to share some difficult aspects of my life and my past. I was able to trust her and process some challenging emotions and loss that I had been holding onto. I experienced some healing in only a few sessions and have been able to move on now with that part of her life for which I am very grateful.
I found Lyn to be extremely helpful on many things. She gave me tools and techniques to work through marriage issues. It was also very holistic counseling leading to assistance on addiction, children/parenting and looking after myself through extreme stress. Nice and understanding
Lyn has provided me with a huge amount of support and guidance over the last few months. She has helped me put boundaries in place to ensure I am able to look after myself in the best possible way. I worked with Lyn several months before and after separating with my former partner. I needed to move on but I didn’t know how, I had questions that had unsure answers. Lyn helped me move on from my last relationship but not only that, being able to control my emotions whenever I started thinking back again. My question’s finally got answers and I feel like I can move on by myself now.
