More about Jane

I enjoyed a career as a senior manager but decided I wanted to do more then coach and mentor in the workplace so I trained to become a counsellor.I have had over 13 years experience working with clients who have experienced domestic abuse dealing with physical and emotional trauma and the impact this has on all aspects of their mental health. I have worked with adults of all ages and genders. have also worked as a college students. In recent years I have qualified as a clinical supervisor supporting counsellors and other professionals in their work.

My experience is varied and broad and I work with clients in a way that helps them to understand themselves better and to make sense of the impact their experiences has had on them while supporting them in exploring alternative thinking and behaviors that may help them.

I enjoy the uniqueness of every individual and recognize the step people take when they ask for help,. I care and take a gentle and supportive approach to help my clients get as much as they can from their sessions

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
