I am a qualified Person-centred counsellor and a member of the BACP. I work with anyone wanting to explore emotional difficulties they may be facing and those who need a safe space to talk, free from judgement or prejudice.
I specialise in working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. My passion is to help people reclaim their lives by processing their trauma. By working together we can work through the long-lasting impact of sexual abuse that infiltrates our self-worth and relationships with those around us. I am experienced in working with survivors on a 1-1 basis as well as group work. I am also a facilitator and counsellor with my local survivors' group.
I also welcome working with partners and family members and friends of survivors and understand that supporting a survivor of sexual abuse has its own emotional challenges. It is a complex issue that is often misunderstood.
I have extensive experience working with ADHD, ASD families and adults who live with mood disorders. Life can be exceptionally challenging when fighting impulsivity, hyperactivity, hyper-focus, poor attention, intrusive thoughts, anxiety and low mood.
I understand and empathise with the pressures of raising children and teens with ADHD, ASD and mood disorders.
I also work with adults who may be facing times periods of uncertainty, depression, health anxiety or just struggling to find meaning or purpose in life.
I welcome parents that are expecting, new parents and mothers who are experiencing low mood and postpartum depression. Children bring such joy into our lives but parenting isn't easy and it can be an emotional rollercoaster. I offer a calm and understanding space to talk through any concerns or difficulties you may be experiencing.
If you feel that you need support with any of the above please do get in touch. I look forward to meeting you :)

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Since working with Steph she has been incredible. She has listened to exactly what I felt like I needed from therapy and has ensured that it’s been as least stressful as possible.
Steph is exactly the therapist that I needed. She shows warmth, empathy, compassion and is always very approachable. I feel able to share things that I maybe wouldn't with anyone else and have felt respected, valued and accepted throughout the process so far!
Stephanie has a lovely open manner. She listens and is wise and thoughtful. I look forward to my sessions with her.
Stephanie has been so helpful and amazing during our sessions. I've tried counselling before but have never stuck with it. I really connect with Steph.
Stephanie has been extrememly helpful. Her expertise in ADHD and ASD related therapy has been a perfect fit for my needs.
Steph is amazing, I would recommend her to anyone. My sessions with her have allowed me to grow and understand myself and others around me so much. My life has really changed for the better since I started therapy and I am much more confident in myself. Thanks so so much Steph ❤️
Steph has been great and I can’t thank her enough! She always takes the time to respond to messages and read my writing! (I write screenplays.) It feels like she goes above and beyond for us and I am so grateful! We have just had a session on the amount of progress I have made and I have made a lot more progress than I thought I did :) and that is thanks to Steph as not only does she always makes me feel like my feelings are valid, but she also helps me understand why I feel the way I do, which is something I needed because I am someone who wouldn’t tend to trust my emotions and I would inflict a lot of blame onto myself. Thank you so much Steph <3
Steph has been excellent and I would recommend her highly, she is a fantastic listener, all in all a fantastic therapist. Thank you for all of your help
Steph has been absolutely fabulous over the last couple of months whilst I've been sorting my head out preparing for an ADHD assessment. Dealing with me is probably like being hit by a 400mph rugby ball exploding in 27 apparently random directions, but Steph has been utterly great throughout and she is enthusiastic about seeing ADHD as a positive trait rather than a miserable encumbrance. She has a vast amount of experience of ADHD and that's been so helpful. I honestly can't thank her enough. :)
Stephanie has been amazing - practical, friendly, connected and really informative, with a great focus on looking outside the immediate and obvious solutions. Therapy sessions with her have been incredibly helpful.
Stephanie is great. She allows me to go off on tangential subjects, while helping us move towards accomplishing the macro goals we agreed upon and set. She has an incredibly warm air, and having tried in-person therapy a lot in the past, I actually find that this format works better for me. I'm in my own home, selecting my own slots, speaking to someone I like and have chosen, and getting the support I need in a way that suits me. Steph is brilliant, and one of the world's great listeners.
I would share my review after more sessions
