I have been living in the UK since the beginning of 2020. I have immigrated here from Trinidad as the quality of life is much better. Living in the Caribbean has its perks but it's much better to visit as a tourist. I decided to move to the UK as I completed my Masters in Counselling Children and Young People from the University of Northampton. After graduating in 2017, I lived in upstate New York for a year in 2018 where I worked on a farm, Green Chimneys specialising in Animal Assisted Therapy. Working alongside animals therapeutically has enhanced my counselling sessions and pets provide so much comfort and care. I counsel using the Integrative Therapy approach which involves Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), creative therapy and systemic therapy. Based on your needs, we can either work via worksheets, journaling, artistic approach where you can send me pictures or videos of things that you may relate to or you find explain your emotions in a way that words may fail.
