Are you experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, or feeling unfulfilled in many areas of your life? Are you feeling like you are in a vicious circle and unsure where to start to make the changes to improve your situation? We can work together to find a solution to what might be going on for you. I can help you gain a better awareness of your best hopes, discover the root cause, and the steps you need to take.

I am an integrative counsellor with 12 years of experience working within GP surgeries, community social services, and with parents in schools. I also have a private practice within a mental health wellbeing center. I have developed a passion for mental health and specialise in supporting adults with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationship problems, autism, and ADHD. Additionally, I work with parents who are struggling to parent due to these challenges and I offer a 10 week parent coaching programme (aimed at children aged 4 to 10) to help parents manage emotional regulation and executive functioning challenges that children with ADHD or Autism (or those who struggle with this but are not diagnosed) maybe dealing with.

Many of my clients have feelings of being alone and stuckness due to these challenges which maybe caused by past traumas and negative experiences of growing up, which have impacted their self-esteem. I help clients with low mood, feelings of sadness, and those who are lacking motivation and interests, and not getting any enjoyment out of life. Through counselling, I help clients feel empowered to see how life could be different, supporting them to identify the solutions for themselves by using an integrative counselling and mindfulness approach.

I provide a safe space where clients can talk about the issues they are going through. I actively listen to how their situation affects their life and support them in gaining a deeper understanding and finding the root cause. Through mindfulness, I help clients develop skills that reduce anxiety and limiting beliefs that might be holding them back. I support clients in learning more about themselves, what they value, and what they need to do to overcome any obstacles in their way.

How I Work:

I work using a therapeutic coaching approach. This means that our sessions will involve talking therapy where we explore the problem in depth. Additionally, I provide you with activities to do between sessions, which may include mindfulness training, tracking thoughts, mood, body sensations, and behaviour. I believe it is between sessions where clients can gain a better understanding of how situations or relationships with others impact their relationship with themselves. If you are interested in this type of therapy, I would really love the opportunity to support you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
