Speaking with Nicola over the past three months has honestly been life changing and I am incredibly grateful to her. I am not normally much of a talker and took a leap of faith starting therapy, but Nicola immediately made me feel comfortable. She is very easy to talk to and an empathetic and active listener, both willing to give me time and space when I needed it but able to gently encourage me to speak about things I had never felt able to talk to anyone else about before - and so much the better for it. I always felt as if Nicola understood me, my inner self and my variety of struggles extremely quickly and she has embodied both professional support and personalised care in supporting me through a time of uncertainty and inner turmoil. Our sessions were always a non-judgmental and a safe space, and beyond this Nicola helped me to radically rethink aspects of my life which had previously made me feel guilt and shame. I will take away so many positive elements and lessons from my sessions with Nicola, and she has allowed me to see the world and myself in a more positive frame of mind. Ways of thinking that I knew in theory but never put into practice now feel natural and more intuitive, and I now feel a lighter person after some dark moments. She is a kind and thoughtful therapist and an all-round lovely person, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. Thank you Nicola.

I have had 2 phone calls with Nicola but already I’m feeling the benefits in the way I think and feeling more hopeful which makes me function better for those that need me. She is always there to answer my messages and I’m grateful for that having had a bad experience of therapy before. It’s early days for me but I’m confident Nicola will help me to help myself in more productive ways.

Hello, and welcome my name is Nicola. I am a UK qualified Client Centred Counsellor (MBACP) with a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling.
This means I will use a variety of therapeutic approaches to give you a counselling experience which is tailored to you.
What do I do?
I work with adults with a wide range of difficulties and life issues such as bereavement, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem in a confidential and non-judgmental space.
Have you been feeling anxious, worthless, struggling to communicate with someone, had a relationship breakdown, feeling overwhelmed or consumed with grief?
Do you want to feel less anxious in social situations, feel comfortable asking for your needs to be met, sleep better, not be plagued by guilt and shame and work on old patterns and behaviours that no longer serve you?
I recognise that there are times in everybody’s life when things get too much. We cannot seem to see a way through our difficulties. I know it's not easy to decide to begin counselling, you may even feel you're being silly or think you should be able to cope on your own or have you tried talking to friends which can leave you feeling unheard, misunderstood maybe even frustrated.
Having an understanding, experienced counsellor can help you start to reclaim your power and live a life that you deserve. Counselling not only allows you to recover from distress and upset that you may have experienced, but you can also learn to thrive. You can live a life that is deeply fulfilling.
Seeking out counselling is not a weakness it is a sign of strength.
Investing in yourself is one of the kindest things you can do, you are important.
Counselling is not just for serious mental health issues
Counselling doesn’t have to be a long process; We don’t have to talk about your childhood (although it always interests me)
What if visiting a counsellor could help improve the quality of your life and relationships?
The relationship between a client and counsellor is a rare thing. How often do we have someone that is on our side, no judgement, no advice or telling you what to do, no hidden agenda, it's simply 100% focused on you and your needs! How wonderful does that sound!?
◦ A bit about me and why I do what I do.
◦ I fell in love with the profession after coming to a crossroads in life myself and feeling, to be honest, at my lowest ebb I went to counselling and used the space to its fullest. I came out of that dark space and had an overwhelming desire to help others find what I did. Lots of years later I have now had the joy of witnessing change in others, seeing the power of resilience and change, we humans have within us.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
