Alix has been just the support I needed. She is empathetic yet challenging (in a good way), I like that we have only telephone conversations rather than face to face. She navigates our sessions beautifully and remembers everything we’ve discussed previously. Something about the telephone helps me open up in a way I’ve found tricky before .

I am an integrative counsellor living and working in the UK. I qualified in 2020 and experienced in in person, online and telephone counselling. My main area of interest is grief and loss, with additional understanding and working with those bereaved by suicide. Loss and grief does not just cover the death of a loved one but also the grief and loss felt with any life change. I also work with the inner child when past events may keep us stuck where we are. Through therapy, the stuckness can be unstuck, leaving you to live a more fulfilled life. I have worked with those who are suffering from low mood, anxieties and trauma, recent and historic.

I work in a humanistic way that is explorative and compassionate allowing you to be in control yet being an integrative counsellor I may use techniques and knowledge from person-centred CBT, TA and Existential modalities. I have completed mindfulness training which can support our sessions to be kind, non-judgemental and allowing you to be where you are now and with acceptance, you can change.

I do believe change can happen and you can make that change. With the courage that got you here, it will help you take the next step.

You don't have to do this alone and I can walk along side you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I'm finding Alex to be very understanding and empathetic so far. Its only been a short amount of time that I've been speaking to her but I've already had a few breakthroughs and I'm feeling a lot more self aware and starting to understand the way I'm reacting to certain situations. It's been an eye opening and interesting experience so far and I'm hugely appreciative of the help given.
