Lyndsay is insightful, personable and very kind. She makes me feel seen, and valuable. Lyndsay is great at unlocking understanding within myself - picking out parts of me that explain my experience and sense of who I am. For probably the first time in a few decades I can feel my own personal growth in action. Very grateful, thank you so much!!!

Hello, my name is Lyndsay, welcome to my profile let me tell you a little bit about myself, how I work and the services I offer. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor practicing in the UK, I work with adults in a variety of settings including online, charities and private practice. Being an Integrative Practitioner simply means I use a blend of techniques, theories and approaches where therapy is tailored to meet your specific needs, these include elements of CBT- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person Centred Therapy and Psychodynamic Approaches.

I believe at some point in our lives we all face difficulties and deserve the right to make sense of what is causing us distress whist moving toward positive change and improved mental health. Having spent four years living in mainland UK and ten years living in the USA, I bring a wealth of life experience working with individuals from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds has been instrumental in shaping my ability to be non-judgemental and accepting of all.

As a qualified professional I offer an authentic, welcoming, safe and non judgemental environment where we can journey together. I work in a simple down to earth and relatable way where respect and empowerment are at the core of my approach and I will be there alongside you to support you every step of the way.

I have experience in working with clients presenting with anxiety, panic, depression, low-self esteem, stress, loneliness, procrastination, relationship issues, grief, trauma, addiction, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I consider myself a warm and compassionate person and would be honoured to support you in your quest toward positive change and happiness.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Lyndsay is amazingly supportive and a fantastic counsellor. She makes me feel comfortable I’m telling her some of my deepest secrets I trust her implicitly. She is consistent, caring and just really lovely. Myself and others are extremely lucky to have Lyndsay as our therapist, she’s one in a million, I would recommend her to anyone.

I have just finished a twelve-week course of sessions with Lyndsay Grattan who I was matched with to help me with issues relating to bereavement, depression, self-esteem and body dysmorphia . Lyndsay has helped me hugely. Her very gentle and kind approach meant that I gained trust quickly and was able to open up to her much sooner than I expected. I felt as though she genuinely related to my issues and had real empathy. She felt like a friend in whom I could confide and seek advice from, while at the same time I felt at all times as though I was in the hands of a professional so she provided me with a totally safe space every week. With the help of her advice and guidance I feel as though I have made huge progress with my mental health and have been provided with some really good tools to help me cope in the future and I am very grateful to Lyndsay for teaching me to understand my feelings and for giving me a huge confidence-boost.

Whether you need someone to give advice, or just lend an ear, she is an all round therapist who has given me my confidence back in myself, and provided me with the tools going forward to continue to improve. She is the therapist I've been looking for my entire life, and I am so thankful to have met her through BetterHelp.

Fantastic therapist! Ever so friendly, and very easy to talk to! Takes in all accounts of any problem, and is able to compartmentalise, ration and reason; making a huge problem that seems impossible to break down, actually very manageable. I went in at first feeling that my issues would be impassable to fix, but Lyndsay has helped me grow so much confidence in developing myself, along with changing and challenging old mindsets: to also forming new ones. I would recommend Lyndsay to anyone, just from the friendliness, let alone how great they are at their job!

Would recommend Lyndsay to anyone! She took time to really understand my problems and what i wanted to achieve. Lyndsay hosts an authentic, friendly and down to earth approach to the sessions and keeps them as formal or informal as you like. After an initial discovery/introductory session we decided on set topics for each future sessions but when i wanted to talk about other things that had happened that week she as willing and able to adapt the sessions. Overall, Lyndsay has been so helpful!
