Hello! I am a graduate from Harding University with a degree in Marriage and Family therapy, and currently am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in Missouri with 16 years of professional work experience. I have assisted many clients navigate stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, coping with grief and loss, and to gain motivation, self esteem, and confidence. Part of my previous work experience has been at a domestic violence shelter, and I have worked with many women through the stressors of identifying and leaving abusive relationships. These include managing the symptoms of PTSD and grieving the loss of a significant relationship. Discovering the motivation to embark on a new chapter of life by building self-esteem and confidence is also a major part of this process. I have also provided services in other settings, including a regional mental health provider, a church and with a horse ranch. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am honored you would consider me to walk alongside you for part of your journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
