April helped me when realize things about the root causes of my feelings I had not brought to light my other times in therapy. She is a great listener, and incredibly easy to talk to. I would recommend her to anyone seeking therapy, and think she is a great partner in my mental health journey.

I am a licensed mental health counselor and author who has served the South Florida community for more than a decade. I was driven by the need to help others and I began my career as a special education teacher and guidance counselor for the New York City Board of Education. My work as a trauma therapist was inspired by my own personal experiences with adversity. Some of our greatest difficulties can turn out to be our greatest assets.

I received my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's degree in counselor education from the City University of New York.

My style incorporates a Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based Approach. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the greatest predictor of change. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-focused CBT.

Whatever may not feel right in your life at the moment, we can explore those areas in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space.

I look forward to being a part of your journey!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
