More about Caroline

Hi my name is Caroline, and as an integrative counsellor I combine two theoretical approaches to assist the counselling process;

Person-Centred - Focuses on what's going on for you in the ‘here and now’ and looks at how you can use your inner resources to create a life that feels better.

Psychodynamic – Looks at how your past experiences may influence the way in which you think, behave, and feel. Gaining awareness of such processes may therefore help you recognise and understand certain patterns of relating and the defence mechanisms that you may use.

I have worked alongside a range clients who have dealt with issues such as; depression, loneliness, generalised anxiety disorder, low self esteem/confidence, anxiety, bereavement and loss, attachment and relationship issues, OCD and hoarding issues to name a few.

My counselling room offers a safe; confidential and judgement- free space to help you explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings.

Finally, if you have taken the time to read this, then it means that you have already considered the possibility of change and what that change could mean for you.

Together let us explore the possibilities - Allow me to support you on your journey of discovery and onto your better future.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I came to better help at absolute rock bottom searching for something, at the time I wasn't sure what, but I knew I needed to reach out. Caroline guided me through my first session with gentleness, compassion and empathy. I wasn't sure what to expect but Caroline gave me a safe space for me to open up as much or as little as I needed to and helped me navigate through a very difficult time.

I was very apprehensive about starting therapy and even throughout my whole entire first session, all I did was cry. Caroline simply listened, was very comforting and very encouraging throughout the whole entire session and it made me open up a lot more than I thought I would. I appreciate how kind and patient she was whilst also encouraging and helping you to see things in a different way than you normally would. Since my first session I would say that I’ve made quite a few positive changes which I believe will lead me to a more positive path and seeking therapy was my first step towards that, so I feel like she’s the person I have to thank the most for helping me to make those first steps into a better life ahead of myself. I would highly recommend her as I feel that she posses all the qualities that you would want in a great therapist.
