Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Melissa is the best! She gets me to open up and not feel any judgment. She listens to me and offers me great insight. So happy that I’ve found her and look forward to our sessions.
Melissa goes above and beyond to tend to my needs and wants when it comes to therapy. She goes out of her way to address my issues and seems to deeply involve herself and apply herself and it has been moving for me. I think she is wonderful and she has helped me to see brightness in dark situations and look at myself in a better light
Melissa is very empathetic and understanding and cares about your progress.
I cannot recommend Melissa highly enough. She's simply the best.
I was extremely nervous about getting back into therapy after my experience at the behavioral hospital but Melissa was so very supportive and understanding and made me feel comfortable talking to her on my first video call. I’ve been more confident in talking about the things that have been bothering me and about my past experiences and bringing them up with her.
Melissa is hands down the best therapist I have ever worked with! She is so kind and caring and really listens to my concerns and problems. She’s offered me coping mechanisms that actually work! Melissa is extremely knowledgeable and an expert at treating her clients. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a fantastic counselor!
I have met with Melissa one time so far. She is so kind! I felt an instant connection with her just talking over the phone. I look forward to my next session with her! <3
I love working with Melissa. She meets me where I am at and helps me think through things in new ways. She doesn't avoid hard questions but then helps me walk through discovering the answers. She encourages me to be honest with myself and those around me. She is gentle, kind, caring, and genuine. I am so much further along in my healing than I would be without her, and I am so grateful for her expertise as I work toward wholeness. She respects and encourages my faith as an important part of my identity. I look forward to counseling sessions even though I know they will not always be easy or fun, which speaks volumes about Melissa.
She’s great
Melissa is a wonderful person! When I’m talking with her it doesn’t feel like therapy it feels like catching up with a friend.
I used to dread therapy appointments in the past, but since I’ve started using BetterHelp and seeing Melissa as my therapist, I actually look forward to my appointments. She’s very calming and supportive of different techniques. I enjoy working with her and look forward to working with her more as my journey has just begun.
