After going through a number of therapists both online and offline left me feeling helpless regarding the therapy and three sessions with Tessa changed that altogether. I am working forward each sessions which is new. She's great, insightful and soo much more. I recommend her to anyone, especially demanding psychology nerds like myself.

I was a bit unsure of how comfortable I would be in opening up to someone when starting therapy, but Tessa put me at ease and built a trusting relationship with me very quickly. She assured me that we would move at my own pace and only talk about things that I felt safe and comfortable to in any given moment. I always feel lighter after my sessions with Tessa, even when we delve into difficult topics, she always makes sure to check that I feel in a good frame of mind to end the session and I am making noticeable progress with each session. I would highly recommend Tessa!

More about Tessa

I am licensed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. I have extensive experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, & depression. I work with coping with life changes, and help clients feel at one with themselves, find their own identity and self confidence and self belief. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

The way in which I work is to use three models of therapy:

Person Centered - this means the therapy is very much tailored towards you, your life and your needs. We work with what you want to bring to each session;

Transanalytical Therapy - this looks at how the past has structured our behavioural responses in certain situations. This can include looking at trauma. By understanding WHY we do things and behave in certain ways, we can then unlearn that learnt behaviour and work on behaviour and emotions that are more positive and life enhancing;

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - the two models above tie into this...this models helps us to further understand our NOW perceptions and allows us to introduce tools to help unlearn that unwanted behaviour and emotion. The tools I work with are very much based on you and your life. The intention is to integrate these tools into your life so that we carry them out subconsciously. They need to be tailored to you or else they will not be successful.

To help you on this journey I help to create a positive, safe atmosphere where you feel you are able to disclose issues without fear of judgment. I always ensure that you leave the session emotionally safe and are able to continue with the day to day life issues that come your way.

It gives me great pleasure to see clients ending their journey with me in an emotionally happier state than when we first met. It is one of the best ways to spend the gift of time.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
