Dr. Montgomery has given me the greatest gift of all - balance, freedom from my mental loops that used to take up so much time, and most importantly - honest direct input on areas to really help me grow! She is knowledgeable in every area - marriage, parenting, leadership and organizational structure, anxiety, overthinking, overcoming trauma, and so much more. I’m so glad to have found such a grounded strength in my life and truly consider her the biggest benefit of this year to have added in my corner!

At some point in life, we all will face some challenges. What I have learned is that not everyone has the proper skills to manage problems effectively. Seeking support puts you on the right track to identifying ways to address those problems you are dealing with more appropriately.

To give you an idea of who I am and what I do, I am Dr. Montgomery, a licensed clinical social worker in PA, DE, NJ, and OH. I have over 27 years of professional work experience in the field. I consider myself to be a trauma therapist, utilizing a generalist approach. My treatment modalities consist of psychoanalysis, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered therapies. These approaches are at the core of my practice. I treat a range of social, emotional, and behavioral disturbances. I have experience in helping clients manage and/overcome OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Complex Trauma/PTSD, and Sexual Abuse issues. I am a National Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist. My Forensic Specialty is treating individuals with deviant sexual acting behaviors. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
