I have benefitted from therapy in terms of anger and my direction in life, so I know that figuring out and becoming the person you want to be can be challenging. It is however possible, and you can live life more happily because of it. I can help you achieve this goal yourself, gaining direction, self-sufficiency, resilience, and emotional regulation.

By understanding yourself in terms of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, you can consider change, and create your own action plan on how you can live your life better, in the way you want to.

You may want to challenge your anxieties, develop new habits, change your outlook, regulate your emotions, or improve your relationships. CBT can help you achieve these goals and move you towards living a better life, shaped by your choices.

Before retraining I worked in large billion pound multinationals for 15 years so I have an insight into workplace stresses, and how these can impact our personal lives. I also understand the pressures of feeling unsatisfied by work, and yet not having a direction to follow towards happiness.

As a degree level Cognitive Behavioural Therapist I believe we all have the power to change but I also realise that to do so alone can be difficult.

I have a Foundation Degree (Merit) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have additional certificates in delivering Online Therapy (Open University) and Safeguarding. I have also undertaken additional Trauma training as part of my work at a Domestic Abuse Counselling agency, where I work with victims in 1:1 and group therapy sessions.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP], I am degree qualified in delivering CBT sessions. These sessions are confidential and comply to the BACP Ethical guidelines of the which ensures safe, effective and professional sessions take place.

I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, anger management, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & career difficulties. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I really like working with John, I feel like he is in my corner and is helping me to understand my own feelings. I feel like he doesn’t judge me and I like his relaxed demeanour, it feels like I’ve been talking to him for ages but really it’s been 3 weeks.
