Emma is a great listener and understands how to communicate with me to allow myself to open. I feel safe and understood. It is really important for me to not feel judged (which can happen pretty easily with me) and see is able to see it and remind me that it is a safe space. Thank you very much for this first step

What can I say? Going through my struggles for another new face is one thing but I have found it harder and harder to trust in who I'm telling my story to listen, understand, empathise and then try to help, and maybe even succeed. Emma really does go above and beyond. I am really fearful of phone calls, so Emma let me live message and was gentle and encouraging when I wanted to try calling, and if I backed out suddenly? She let me know it was okay. Now calls with her are easier than I ever imagined. Sometimes I message a bit, sometimes a lot. Sometimes a whole LOT. Emma helped me feel a little less burdensome and guilty each time... I still do get guilt, but I feel free to message when I need to vent, or to get something hurtful off my chest outside of allotted live sessions. Each session I've had with Emma has been somehow more positive for me than the last. Sometimes we work through trauma I've had bottled up for more than a decade. Sometimes I just end up needing to talk about present troubles. She always listens, provides me with advice and her view of things but most importantly, she listens. It was today's session that prompted me once again to leave a review finally. FINALLY. Emma has been a legitimate lifesaver for me... I can't thank her enough. I haven't felt this feeling of hope and curiosity for the future in so long. I don't really have adequate words, so thank you will have to suffice. (I'm rather emotional still, but because my emotions are really hard to connect with, this is the best time to write my review... Hopefully it foes its job in conveying with a lovely woman my therapist is!!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Emma is a brilliant therapist. She provides me with psychoeducation, empathy and truly hears where I am coming from. As a therapist myself, I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is hoping to delve into self-exploration.
