More about Paola

Hello, my name is Dr. Paola Solivan Matta. I am originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Miami 8 years ago to pursue my dream of becoming a psychologist. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish and love conducting therapy in both languages. I completed my graduate studies at an American Psychological Association accredited program at Albizu University in Doral, FL.

I obtained my Master’s Degree in 2016 and currently hold a clear and active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 5 years of experience helping individuals from different multicultural backgrounds, experiencing a variety of difficulties.

I have had the opportunity of delivering treatment services for a variety of concerns such as, anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, attention/hyperactivity issues, sleep difficulties, work/life stressors, burnout/fatigue, relationship issues, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders.

I take a very integrative approach to therapy and tailor my work to the individual’s needs by combining techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I consider every person is a new and unique human being in front of me, who needs a particular and personalized care and service. My objective is to provide the best quality treatment for my patients by helping them identify their own goals and definition of their top quality of life.

It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
