Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

What I like most about Ben is his mannerism. He is engaged and lively, and he won't shy away from being honest and straightforward. Sessions are highly interactive. I have had previous therapists who were merely paid listeners. Ben is not at all like that. I don't always like to hear what he says, but his opinion is important as it provides a different view and makes me think. He has helped me through some really rough times and I trust him. And trust is major for me.
Ben has helped me look at situations from different perspectives and also gives me the tools that are making a difference for me. I appreciate his insight so much and look forward to continuing to learn and grow as a result .
Ben has been crucial in helping me to get my life in order and has helped me attain my goals.
He is great
Ben is great guy, very insightful and cares about doing his job well which translates into connecting and understanding from him. I highly recommend him.
Ben is very patient and organized with how he interacts with me. It is noticeable to people in my life when im communicating with him. I am able to resolve situations better.
I cannot say enough good things about Ben,. Having experienced therapy over many years in a virtual and non-virtual settings, I am beyond impressed with Ben. He possesses a varied skill set, he enacts timely responses and he offers a plethora of suggestions. He helps you own your therapy. He helps you find trust in yourself, if you have lost it. He channels you back to the core or center of your situation. (which has personally been a great benefit to me during my time of need) He knows his field. He also knows the rules and regulations outlined by BetterHelp. I believe he is a benefit to the company and represents them well. I am a person that believes strongly in first impressions. I have not spent a lot of time with Ben but I am writing this because in the short time we have known each other he has left an indelible, strong impression on my mind, and in my hope to learn from him. I highly recommend him to anyone needing assistance on their path of life
Ben is a great listener. He understands where I’m coming from and does a fantastic job of helping me sort out my thoughts and feelings. He really hones in and helps me identify trouble areas I may be having on a particular day/week. He does a great job of framing things out to help me see other perspectives. He’s able to manage the speed at which I progress, or if I have a few bumps in the road, to keep goals attainable. I really feel I’ve grown and learned a lot about myself and look forward to more insight through my sessions with Ben.
Ben is the most effective therapist I've encountered on BetterHelp. He is attentive, listens, and asks unbiased questions. Among the numerous therapists I've had, Ben stands out as one of the few I see as both passionate and professional in aiding others.
I felt an instant connection with Ben. I appreciate his use of video as that was a critical need for me. He listens and helps me understand what I am feeling. Although I was initially not excited about "homework" I have found it to be a good bookend to our past session and a great set up for our next session.
Ben is a great guy and even better therapist. I'm going to just keep it simple and straight forward just like his therapy and say I highly recommend him if you are looking to elevate and evolve with your therapy!
Ben is excellent! I would highly recommend him
Ben has provided some very insightful comments in just our first few days of dialogue.
My experience with Ben has been great! He made me feel comfortable from our first meeting, and has provided me with multiple ways to deal with my anxiety. After a couple of weeks, things have been significantly better. He's been checking in on my progress between sessions. Couldn't recommend him more!
Very personable and animated, he listens and actually HEARS me and responds to what I am saying. He makes me feel like a human being, like I MATTER. He ia focused on me and not the computer screen. And he keeps me on track when I go off on a tangent.
Ben meets me where I'm at and shows up for me even when I didn't show up for myself that week. He is easy to talk to and I feel more hopeful since I've been working with him.
Best therapist I’ve had on this platform.
Ben is an incredibly nice and thoughtful guy. He's active when listening and is able to ground me like others haven't. Truly greatful.
Ben has been a major help already in the short time I’ve spoken with him. He is a great listener and seems to be genuinely interested in my perspectives and my anxieties. I was hesitant on therapy in the past, Ben has made me look forward to my meetings.
Very patient and kind.
