Hi!
Do you struggle with relationships?
Do you want your marriage to be better?
Do you struggle with depression or anxiety and just want to be happy?
Are you having trouble adjusting to a new situation? A move to new area, a new job, recently single or divorced?
If you work with me, I can help you with the issues mentioned above.
My name is Arkaya Williams-Abbott and I go by "Kady." I am a licensed therapist in the state of Alabama. In addition to the issues I mentioned above, I have over 29 years of experience working with adult men and women who struggle with substance use disorders (alcoholism and drug addictions) and serious mental illnesses.
My counseling approach is client centered and I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change as therapeutic interventions that will help you with the issues you struggle with. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Auburn University and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
There is no doubt that asking for help is hard, however, I think counseling is one of the best gifts one can give to themselves!
Together, let's bring clarity to the issues clouding your life.
I am an ally.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Kady is a really patient person whose voice is calming. She really listens and responds. 10/10
She's very kind and very experienced. She listens to you and is able to get to the center of what you mean.
I never would have believed that online therapy could help so much. Kadie is wonderful. She shows empathy and affection and offers solutions or different ways of looking thing. Would you make me think and I believe become a better person? I strongly suggest her.
I have contemplated using a therapist for some time. I was referred to BetterHelp by a friend. The fact that I chose Katy was a blessing! She is very kind, attentive, and responds quickly to my texts. I am very pleased. And for anyone thinking about therapy, I highly recommend her. I feel like she has helped me understand my feelings, and how to deal with things in a positive way. How to feel better about myself. And how to grieve.
Very knowledgeable and timely with her responses and have great availability for after work hours.
Mrs. Kady is the best and I will recommend her to anyone in need. She gives the best advice on any situation.
Kady has been more than my online therapist, she is a confidant and someone I trust. She listens to how I feel and validates my emotions. She is respectful of our time and is conscious of connection and how the conversation is going. She also does a great job at relating to my experiences by sharing personal examples which I deeply appreciate. I am grateful that she is a reliable support resource.

Kady has been absolutely patient and kind, listening to my issues and addressing each one of them, instead of giving a ";standard template answer." Thank you very much for your help thus far Kady!
Kady is insightful, kind, and understanding. I've been able to talk to her about things I thought I would never be able to tell anyone.
