PROFILE

I am an experienced Senior Manager and qualified Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal. I like to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. I have an impressive record of leading teams with strategic planning, scheduling, influencing and customer service and account management leading through to resolution. Also, a sound knowledge of account receivables, business process policy and service delivery I believe I am an enthusiastic and a confident professional with excellent presentation and administration skills.

Having worked in a Senior Management role for Corporate Industries for the past 30 years I have extensive experience in managing, setting targets and KPI’s. Setting SMART objectives. Very comfortable delivering training and coaching to large audiences as well as teams and individuals. Adhering to all internal policies and procedures, I am comfortable presenting to a large audience.

Empathetic by nature I have founded my own Hypnotherapy and Counselling service called The Listening Tree which is designed to offer affordable services to local people. I have been running this practise for over six years. As part of my business I teach Hypnotherapy and counselling to student hypnotherapists and Counsellors up to level 4.

I volunteered for Cruse the Bereavement Charity, and this is where I undertook my placement. I completed over 150 hours with this organisation alone. I have taken an Advance Hypnotherapy Course with Higher Perspectives and I am a qualified Hypnotherapy Supervisor.

I graduated over six years ago have given over 700 hours of counselling and 325 hours of hypnotherapy. I have been an Affiliate for Anxiety UK, Ben, Mates in Mind, Professional Help Redarc and Griefchat.

I am Registered with the BACP, an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society and National Hypnotherapy Society. I have also provided mentoring to students between the ages of 16 – 25 and mentor mature students who have returned to studying. This has been a challenging role as many have complex mental health issues or physical health issues which can impede their motivation to study. I have been running a private practice for 5 years.

I have experience of EAP Helpline, Telephone/video counselling, Team Manager and I am now the EAP Interventions Service Manager at Vita Health.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Michelle is very warm, kind and easy to talk to. She shows empathy and understanding of every situation. She explains everything really well and the science behind the way we think and the way we are, which helps me have a better understanding of myself and humans in general. I am in the early stages of my therapy journey but would recommend Michelle to anyone that is thinking about taking that first step or considering changing therapists. You won’t regret it! I am looking forward to my mental health journey with Michelle as my therapist.
