Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I really need to feel seen and heard and to be able to ramble on myself to try to connect the dots and feel supported by my therapist, but not told what to do. I can ask for advice, of course, but what works really well for me about Helen’s methods is the fact that she reflect everything back to me and that makes me feel so validated. Apart from this, she is so sweet and kind and tolerant. I have talked with her about relationship anxiety, attachment style issues, sexual abuse, childhood trauma around physical and psychological abuse, overthinking and avoidance patterns/addiction, LGBTQ+ issues among other things. I am very content.

Helen has been the most amazing therapist, she actively listens and takes a deep interest in you’re worries, she has helped me navigate through some tough situations, and has helped me understand my trauma through talking and some worksheets and has just been a great person to talk to. I highly recommend her for anyone with Trauma Anxiety ED or PTSD as she has really helped me come to terms and cope better with these things.

I haven't been with Helen too long but I find her to be really kind, knowledgeable, punctual, and better than therapists I have met in person! I was hesitant to try BetterHelp but I think it's an amazing platform for individuals who maybe for a long time had lack of access to services, live in rural areas, etc.
