I am licensed in Georgia with 6 years of professional work experience as a Social Worker. Growing up my life was touched by a Social Worker, and even though back then I did not know the job title, I knew I wanted to help people, the way someone helped me. I have always been able to talk to people and assist them with their emotional and physical needs. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, parenting issues, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Mary is one of the kindest people I have had the good fortune of encountering. She helped me through such a difficult period in my life and I would recommend her to anyone.

Reviewed January 2024

Mary is calm and centered, and gives me a sense of grounding and purpose when she listens to me. She is kind and attentive, and allows me to discard layers of self-consciousness when we talk to get to the root of the problem that is bothering me. I feel like she is a perceptive and understanding listener who helps me address my concerns without judging me, and she understands that I have traumas and negativity to work through without making me feel like less of a person for voicing them as I struggle to come to terms with my history.
