My name is Rachel and I am a licensed counsellor working in the UK with 3 years of professional experience. I hold a Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I have experience with clients with stress and anxiety, depression, family conflicts and relationship issues, trauma and abuse, motivation, low self esteem and lack of confidence, poor motivation, eating disorders, substance misuse, self-defeating behaviours, bereavement and anger issues. Exploration may come in the form of better decision making/clearer thinking. re-evaluation of strengths or seeking a deeper meaning in life. You may wish to explore the impact of your upbringing or the pattern of relationships that you find yourself in. Only you as the client know what it is that you seek and if you are not sure what that is then I will endeavour to explore it with you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting this far!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have got in contact with Rachel, being on a very difficult emotional place. I knew that I needed a therapy, but was very afraid of the possibility to completely fall apart if releasing anything what was on my mind and heart. Although I did not articulate any of those fears, Rachel sensed it. In a very supportive, understanding way, she helped me to start unwrapping all the layers I have built around myself, addressing the core issues and accepting my flaws and weaknesses. There is a way in front of me, and I am happy to continue my personal growth with Rachel's help and support.

Rachel is fantastic at creating a safe space where I feel seen and accepted for who I am. She is ever so kind and guides me with helpful prompts that help get to the heart of the issues I bring to the therapy room. She is very insightful and thoughtful in her responses, which challenge my thinking enough whilst maintaining a safe and gentle environment - this is a very important skill to balance. I've had several counsellors/therapists over the years and Rachel is the best one - I'm so glad to have been connected with her on Better Help.
