I have been working with Carol for over a year and she helped me work through a lot of things from my childhood at my own pace. She is very supportive, understanding and keeps me motivated to continue the work between sessions. I would (and in a way had) trust her with my life.

I am licensed in the UK with 3 years of professional work experience. I have experience helping clients with neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, and grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgement. Therapy can feel like a scary place, fear of opening up deep wounds. Taking the first step takes courage!

I decided to train as a counsellor after completing a psychology degree as I found I was drawn to counselling rather than clinical psychology.

I volunteered as a counsellor at a school for young people aged between 11 - 18 years. This experience enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of young people and the challenges they face.

My core approach is Person-Centred counselling, as I feel that you can reach your potential through making decisions based on your own understanding of the self. This is facilitated by me listening to you and allowing you the space to explore your feelings and make sense of what is going on for you. I am here to sit alongside what feelings you bring to the session, and to understand your experiencing and how this is impacting you. For us to get a good understanding of what is going on for you, it is important for you to be allowed to bring your wholeself to the session and for you to feel comfortable in doing so.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
