Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I haven’t been in therapy in 20 years because I wasn’t sure if I would have to “shop” for a therapist and that felt like too much work. I have better help a shot one night and was paired with Laura. Laura is so easy to talk to. She listens and never interrupts. I’m extremely happy with her so far.

I can’t thank her enough. Laura’s sessions feel like what it would’ve been like to talk to Alan Watts. I used to have a distorted view on therapy until I met her, and she’s been possibly the strongest pillar in my foundation of support since then. She’s understanding, gentle where it hurts, and firm where all else needs that extra strength to prevent internal collapses. She challenges me in a way that doesn’t feel like she’s pushing me to a corner, but gently nudging me away from the one I’ve hidden myself in out of fear of vulnerability, exposure. I’ve never felt more Naked and Afraid TM. I’ve never felt safer. Looking forward to continuing my journey alongside her long term, hopefully even after things sort themselves out for the better. Thank you, Laura.

Laura is seriously the best therapist I've ever had. She's kind, she's attentive, and she understands or at least does her best to understand instead of just offering three or four different solutions as I discuss my issues. She listens to me completely to understand the entire situation. She's sympathetic and lets me cry if I need to. She's everything a therapist should be. And in a lot of ways, she shares stories that are relatable to my situations so I don't feel alone. She knows exactly what to do and what to say. She's the best therapist anybody could ask for and I would recommend her to literally anyone in need of therapy.

When I first signed up with Better help,my therapist didn't show and then just didn't seem like they really wanted to help. Instead of just canceling, I sifted through the available therapists and found Laura. I am so glad I did! After many years of just feeling unheard from prior mental health professionals, I finally feel heard! She explains everything in a new light and makes it easier to see what's been missing all this time. It really makes all the difference in a healing journey to have someone like Laura by your side.

Laura is the best! She’s very experienced & offers help on a variety of topics. She does an excellent job curating a safe space for me to express myself while also feeling heard & understood. She challenges me in a positive way to work on self-awareness & growth and offers tangible solutions that I can implement in my daily routine. I have never connected with therapist so well before & I genuinely have fun talking with her, even while discussing some heavy topics. Would definitely recommend

Laura is a wonderful human being who allows you a safe space to talk and share what's going on in your life. I have had a therapist who avoided emotional topics because they themselves were uncomfortable with people crying or getting upset. But Laura is not like this. If you need to talk, she lets you talk. If you need to cry, she lets you cry. If you need to vent, she will let you vent. She's the perfect therapist and I am so glad I met her. I think I would be completely lost had I not. And something else I love about Laura? She's not afraid to call you out when you're making a really stupid rationalization. But she does it in a way that is respectable and accepting. In other words she says I understand this is how you feel but do you think maybe this could be why this person acted like that. She doesn't judge you, she doesn't make you feel like you're stupid or unworthy. She makes you feel safe at all times. I have recommended Laura to many people and I will continue to do so. No therapist has ever understood me like Laura understands me. No one has ever attempted to understand me like Laura has taken the time to understand me.
