Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I was tired of waiting weeks to just do a new patient intake just to find out you weren't a good fit. I thought of betterhelp to get matched faster. Right from the beginning I could tell Nate was a great fit and our subsequent sessions have only validated this feeling. I was immediately able to put into practice our plans in thanks to the platform and the journal feature. The app even will remind me I was writing him a message and forgot to send. When we meet Nate takes notes and I can tell he reviews the journals I share daily. He is always prepared and I feel like I have his full attention. He listens and doesn't just hear what I have to say and is great at processing the information in real time to offer specific relevant responses.

Nate is an excellent therapist. His experience is clear, and he's very easy going and understanding. He brings a lot to the table, and makes me feel heard. He has a lot of ideas for ways to handle the malformed patterns in my thinking and behavior that lead to poor coping mechanisms. I've really enjoyed working with him so far, and I'm excited to continue. 10/10

Nate has been absolutely amazing at helping me identify issues and come up with solutions that help me to heal and see situations differently. He has been a great communicator and has helped me develop more skills to communicate while recognizing where I could self improve and mange conflict better. I’d recommend Nate to anybody because he is confident in his response, a great listener and allows me to be heard before assessing a situation.
