More about Kate

I hold a BA in Integrative Counselling, and am licensed in the UK with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & parenting issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. It can take courage to seek out help and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

For some people it can feel scary taking the step to accept support from another unknown person, for others it can be a relief to talk to someone who has no agenda, and is simply, completely there for you.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. This means that I work alongside you in a holistic way, fitting various counselling frameworks to your needs. I take into account your journey to where you are now and the bigger picture of what early life, social and systemic pressures have influenced and affected you.

How would it be to expand your understanding of yourself, and your place in the world? How would it feel to start unwinding the reasons you feel the way you do?

Often you can uncover and realise extraordinary things that may have seemed trivial or inconsequential, which will help make sense of your reactions, decisions, and life journey so far. Giving you an opportunity to see yourself and others in a different light.

I work in a relational way, and strongly believe that a good therapeutic relationship is a great foundation for you to start to explore the difficulties you are facing at the moment.

I can offer you new ways to support yourself and rebalance from traumatic and distressing memories and patterns, with an emphasis on self-care and a move to feeling empowered and more in control.

You have the ability to help yourself. I can compassionately, non judgementally support you to do that.

I have the experience of counselling as a client, and appreciate the space it gives me to rethink. I value the positive changes it continues to have in my life.

Here are just a few of the issues I work with:

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
