More about Bradley

  • 25 years' experience

  • LMFT, LCPC

I am licensed in Illinois and Washington DC with over 25 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, lgbt-related issues, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy is Mindfulness-based backed by what neuroscience validates to help with the healing and growing process. My practice in both my personal life and practice is very amenable to using meditative practices to safely explore past experiences - good and bad - in ways that empower people in the ability to both influence life as well as how one copes with life. Spiritual beliefs and practices (both religious and secular) are safely explored in with safety and without judgment. I am also a Level III Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy trained clinician who welcomes the fact that in therapy we are having a real relationship, and the dynamics of this can help with opening up new pathways for the client to heal, live, grow and thrive.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
