Sallie has been so patient and understanding. Ive been working with her for 9 months and the amount of progress I've made to understanding my own emotions is huge. Her approach has been tailored to my communication needs every week with adaptability being her main strength while working with myself.

Sallie has been incredibly patient and helped me approach difficult topics in a supported way. She has kept to my pace and regularly uses strategic methods to bring me back to a safe head space towards the ends of appointments to keep me safe as i struggle to shift thinking patterns without that trusted intervention.

More about Sallie

I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor, with over 4 years professional experience. I have experience of working with clients with many different issues, and from all walks of life. My approach brings in theories from person centred, psychodynamic and CBT modalities, adapted to suit each unique client. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important aspect in counselling. If you feel truly heard, unjudged and treated with respect, you will be able to be your true self in our sessions, helping you to gain a better understanding of yourself.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, loss, relationships, health, parenting, abuse or trauma. You may be feeling sad, angry, frustrated, lost, misunderstood, or isolated. Or you might not be able to pinpoint exactly how you’re feeling, or what is causing you problems. Counselling is a chance to talk things through, without judgement and without fear or upsetting anyone or worrying about other people’s feelings. It's a time to focus solely on you. I will be there to help you unravel your thoughts and feelings, to help you find a way forward.

You may discover that things from the past are still having an impact on you today. I will gently challenge your thought process, exploring why you think, feel and behave in the ways that you do.

If you're suffering with anxiety or panic attacks we can work out what the triggers are, and find ways to calm your body and mind. This will help restore your confidence, enabling you to get back to doing the things you enjoy.

Don't worry if you're feeling a bit nervous, don't know what to expect from counselling or how to start the conversation. I'm really down to earth, easy to talk to, and will always take things at your pace.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
