Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amanda is amazing! She always talks me through whatever is going on in a way that’s effective for how I’m feeling in that moment. I’ve found so much comfort in her ability to walk me to the root of my issue and find a way through it. She’s both very empathetic and also straightforward when it’s necessary in a way a close friend might not always be. Truly could not recommend Amanda more!

Reviewed September 2024

Amanda is a wonderful listener. She's great at asking the important, thought-provoking questions and helping you to explore further the things that best help or hinder your progress towards your goals.

Reviewed August 2024

Amanda has had such a positive impact on my life and ability to manage my anxiety. She is always kind, thoughtful, and supportive but also gives me the hard truths I need. She goes out of her way to record/remember the names of my family, coworkers and friends as well as remembers the small details either about my life or what techniques work for me personally. Betterhelp is a decent platform, but Amanda is the absolute best.

I have had two sessions so far (and a variety of messages exchanged) and I am already starting to feel a difference in how I show up and react to different stresses. Amanda is able to hear my concerns, validate them, probe and push when appropriate, and translate them into meaningful actions that I can work on throughout the week. I am looking forward to many more future sessions with her.
