Hi, I’m David.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I meet high standards of professionalism, ethics and continued professional development. I am highly qualified with PGDip in Counselling and my education enables me to assist people through life’s challenges and struggles.

My role as your counsellor is to help you develop the capacity for personal growth and change. Responding to your needs I use a person-centred therapy and a solution focused approach to counselling, which is non-judgmental, empathetic, empowering and motivating to you as the individual to take back control and grow.

It is okay to take care of yourself and natural to want to live a happy, fulfilled and energised life. It takes tremendous strength to change and to live without anxiety, stress, depression, uncertainty and feeling overwhelmed by life.

In counselling, you talk, and I will patiently listen with compassion. We will explore what is causing your problems and talk about new strategies to overcome them. Your energy will grow, and anxiety and depression will shrink.

My clients tell me I am warm, friendly and helpful. I am confident in helping you find relief from anxiety, depression and “self-sabotaging” behaviours. If I sound like the sort of person you could see yourself talking to, then please do not hesitate to contact me today.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Having sessions with David Atlay has been a remarkable experience for me . He helped me developing new framework for my mindset to handle my emotions better and minimize the self-sabotaging behaviors and thoughts that I had before the sessions. David pays attention to the details of my story and troubles that I elaborate, asking thought-provoking questions to help me think more rationally, discusses with me my hypothesis on what could be the causes of my problems and subsequently develop a more healthy mindset. He has been a great colleague that work together with me to develop my mindset and mental condition. I recommend him for those who are seeking help, who are ready to openly discuss their problems.
