I am a registered, person-centred counsellor, providing individual sessions to adults and young people both in-person and online, helping with a wide range of issues, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, low mood and bereavement. I have worked with a number of charitable and not-for-profit organisations, in addition to working with groups and individuals in corporate settings.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that we all, as humans, have the potential for growth and for self-actualisation, given the right environment. My aim as a counsellor is therefore to create that environment, through the therapeutic relationship.

I practice a non-directive approach, allowing you, the client, to lead the session in whatever direction you feel is most crucial. As Carl Rogers said, “It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried.”

I offer daytime and evening sessions via video, telephone or live chat. My schedule is regularly updated, however if you require a specific day or time, please let me know and I will try my best to accommodate.

Reaching out when you need support can be daunting. I know, I've been there. When you join me online, you'll be met with a genuine warmth and empathy. My hope is that you will reach out and trust me to join you on this journey.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

The best counsellor I have had in decades of seeking/needing help. I have gone through the most difficult 6 months of my life recently, and would not have been able to do it without her being there.

I am still new to therapy but I have found Jess to be a lovely and warm person who I feel I can trust with any of my issues. I don’t feel judged at all when we speak and I really appreciate the advice she has given, as well as useful worksheets and tools.
